Expectations is a geometric painting of a birthing vulva in beautiful pastel tones. This piece was created with the word ‘legacy’ as inspiration, and faces into the expectation placed upon women to bear children as their legacy, an expectation from society and also themselves. The piece represents both the beauty and the pain of vaginal childbirth. Her sister painting is of lactating breasts - Expectations II.
